Burns Park Run

As many of you know, the 39th Annual Burns Park Run (http://burnsparkrun.org) is a local Ann Arbor tradition.  This race started in 1979 and has always been planned and executed by parent volunteers from Burns Park Elementary and the surrounding community.  It is a fundraiser for our PTO, for other local schools' PTOs, and for the Ann Arbor Education Foundation. Last year, there were nearly 1,300 participants and 455 were K-12 students from our local schools.

$10 of your child’s individual registration fee donated back to their school’s PTO. Parents simply indicate their interest in participating during the online registration process (https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/AnnArbor/burnsparkrun) and designate the name of the school to have your school receive the $10 donation. Last year, the race raised over $1,790 for school PTOs other than Burns Park Elementary.

Morning Dropoff Traffic and Safety Volunteers
The PTSO is asking for a group of parents to volunteer in assisting children arrive to our school safely.  We will be partnering with the Ann Arbor Police to help make intersections and crosswalks a safer place.  This cannot be possible without your help!!! Many of us have experienced unsafe conditions and now is your chance to contribute.  Please email president@a2steampto.org for inquiries.

Spring Expo
Thursday March 30th, the PTSO will be providing delicious hot dogs from Rays Red Hots for purchase on the outdoor area outside the cafeteria. STEAM spirit wear will be available inside the cafeteria as well.  Cash and CC are accepted for spirit wear.
