Northside Community Church Parking
We have been fortunate to have both churches on either side of our school allow us to use their parking lots. We understand that parking is a challenge. This announcement is pertaining to the Northside Community Church on Barton. This is establishment has supported Northside Elementary for many years but if we continue to ignore their guidelines for parking WE WILL LOSE THE PRIVILEGE!!! In an email sent to Principal Fitzgibbons please see the following:
You are welcome to use the parking lot at Northside Community Church (across from the school) for;
Morning drop off and afternoon pick up of children
Evening school events (except as noted below)
- Please do NOT use our lot on Thursday evenings
- Use ONLY the designated parking spaces - Do NOT park in the drive way
- DO NOT park in the 3 spaces marked: ‘CHURCH PARKING ONLY’ at any time
- Our ‘CHURCH EVENT ONLY’ sign indicates that we have an event at that time and outside parking is not allowed.
- If it has snowed, our plow needs to get into the lot to clean it out.Parking is only allowed on those days for as long as it takes to pick up or drop off children.
The spots directly in front of the church are to be kept clear. We have been advised of this by the fire marshal. We have an arrangement with Brewer’s Towing to remove unauthorized vehicles from our lot if we call them. We don’t want to do this but this space must be kept clear.
We hope to continue communications with administration and parents. Have a great year!
Terence McGinn, Pastor

Middle School Fun Night
Remember to sign up for Bloomz, this is an excellent resource as a one stop shop communication for the entire school. PTSO will now be using this as a means of communication in addition to school messenger as well and can be used from your PC and/or smartphone. There is a convenient tutorial on how to use Bloomz once your account is setup. Make sure you join the PTO’s and your child’s teacher group. The PTO invite code is JW6PWK. (It works very similar to facebook, very user friendly) If your students classroom is still working on creating their group, no need to worry. You can still see info from the PTO and our Lead Teacher Brooke Stidham.
- Amazon Smiles
In addition to the already established amazing ways (box tops etc.) to raise funds easily is Amazon Smiles. When you shop on Amazon just register your recipient to Northside Elementary PTO Ann Arbor and a percentage of the proceeds will go directly to our school. Smile - Amazon.com
- Store Rewards
Many stores around town will give a donation to the school based on you shopping with them. Last year we got several thousand dollars from stores like Kroger, Busch’s, Hillers, Target, and others. Click here for information about how to sign up for free so these stores can donate the maximum to our PTO
- Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education
We hope you have been saving your Box Tops and Labels for Education for the fall. These programs sent us over $500 last year because you clipped and turned in the labels. These programs have expanded beyond cereal boxes and soup can labels, so check their web sites for up to date information on products, rewards, and special coupons.
